There are several definitions of PCB assemblies! Convenient customer plug-in is one, convenient manufacturers own production is one, saving materials is one! The convenience plug-in is that the customer asks you to spell it this way, and you must do it as required. Manufacturers convenient production is convenient V cutting and so on. Saving materials is to use materials more perfectly without wasting, or leaving too much side material! For example, 1 meter 2 by 1 meter of material, you open 34X41 CM of the plate is perfect.
The board should take into account the connection between the board, there are generally three kinds: V-CUT (V-cut), stamp holes and hollow connection strips. The V cut is used more for the regular board, as long as the two boards are put together, leaving a gap between them (the gap of the V cut). Stamp holes are used more in the special-shaped plate, and multiple holes are punched at the joint of the plate. The hollow connecting strip is the use of a very narrow plate to connect, and it is used more in the board with a half-hole process.
1. V cut
V-CUT, also known as V-cut, is to draw a slot at the joint of two boards, where the connection of the board is thinner and easier to break. The edges of the two boards can be merged together when assembling the board. In addition, the V cut is generally a straight line, and there will be no complex lines such as curved arcs, so it can be as far as possible in a straight line when assembling. Pay attention to the gap between the two boards to V cut, generally 0.4mm can be. V-secant lines can be represented using 2D lines placed on all layers.
Because the V cut can only go straight, it is only applicable to the patchwork connection of regular PCB boards. For irregular PCB board, such as circular, you need to use the stamp hole to make a patchwork connection, the following describes the stamp hole.
2. Stamp hole
The stamp hole is another connection method of the plate, which is generally used more in the special-shaped plate. The edges of the two boards are connected by a small sheet, and there are many holes in the connection between the small sheet and the two boards, so it is easy to break.
It is called a stamp hole because the edge of the board when broken is like the edge of a stamp.
3. hollow connection bar
The connection method is similar to the stamp hole, the difference is that the connection part of the connection strip is narrower, and there are no holes on both sides. One disadvantage of this method is that there will be a very obvious convex point after the board is broken apart, and the convex point of the stamp hole is not obvious because it is separated by the hole. So why use this method? Just use the stamp hole. In fact, there is a situation where stamp holes and V-cuts can not be used, that is, when the module is surrounded by half holes, it can only be connected through the hollow connection bar at the four corners of the module.
